Metallic Floors Show Every Bump
Metallic epoxy flooring exaggerates any hump or hollow in the slab below. So the grinder flattens high spots, and filler goes into cracks and dips before any colour is mixed. A flat base is what makes the swirl look smooth.
Below-grade slabs get metered as well. Damp rising from the soil can haze or bubble a metallic finish, and a sealing primer prevents that.
Choosing Metallic Colours
Popular colours include silver, gold, copper, charcoal and blue, or a blend of two or three. We bring samples to your home or business so you can see them under your own lights, and we talk through the look you want, from a soft cloud to a bold, high-contrast swirl.
Caring For Metallic Epoxy Flooring
A soft mop and warm water keep metallic epoxy flooring clean. A clear top protects the colour from scuffs. It holds up for years in a basement. For a garage, we usually suggest a garage floor coating with flakes, since flakes hide salt and grit far better.
What Metallic Epoxy Flooring Costs
Metallic epoxy flooring generally lands between $9 and $14 per square foot. Room size, the number of colours and slab repair set the final figure. A simpler flake option is on our basement epoxy flooring page.
